Jessica Tsai is a glassblower based in Philadelphia. She sculpts in a 3000 degree flame with borosilicate glass to create detailed sculptures, jewelry, and functional objects that combine realism with design and function. Her work is a study of nature and its many tiny creatures. Through her glass work she hopes to share a childlike fascination with the world around us.
Currently Jessica is the flameworker for Blob Blob Studio and fabricates glass work for other artists and designers. She also enjoys being a teacher’s assistant at Salem Community College for the glass art flameworking courses. In 2022 Jessica taught her first flameworking class at UrbanGlass.
